Ogni luogo ha la sua voce. Accordi spesso impercettibili che è difficile cogliere se non in quei rari momenti di silenzio e riflessione che si donano, inattesi, come ipotesi di un rapporto più alto con la realtà che ci circonda. Un dialogo intimo, capace di riscoprire una geografia, forse minore, di memorie e suggestioni grazie alla quale sia però più facile definire l’identità del nostro territorio e di noi che lo viviamo. Conoscevano bene il potere atavico di questa geografia le generazioni che ci hanno preceduto. Tutte le cose venivano nominate in passato, i crocicchi, gli alberi più maestosi, i torrenti, per trasformare una natura a volte ostile e pericolosa in sentieri conosciuti e rassicuranti. E’ tempo, ora, di recuperare il significato storico, artistico e culturale di These maps are ideal without which it is increasingly easy to get lost in the superficiality of today.
Viae Musicae just wants to be a good omen for this return to the places of origin, or the mere suggestion to stand before the walls of a church, breached the battlements of a castle, the hidden garden of a house to reclaim a dimension and a heritage that is good. And as such must be preserved and enjoyed, not to mention, however, that the search for roots can not be merely a refuge in the past, but must aim to draw new ideas and new inspirations.
With this review, with its 7 years of life, the voluntary association Auser Florence and the town of Bagno a Ripoli have wanted to trace a path through music, drama and history that frangesse the stereotype of a culture closed in on itself - and this is intended to barren - to build new forms of cultural entertainment by which a thirteenth-century chapel can become the imaginative alcove of Scheherazade, and the barn of an old farmhouse transformed in the last song of a great writer and playwright.
Never in the seven editions, we repeated the same music program or a play. It is the form we have adopted to give up and not give in to easy answers, let alone how to engage our audience to voice full of echoes of this land.
